Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and us about using MadHopper. We have kept them short and readable. Nothing in them takes away rights that consumer law gives you.

Who you are contracting with

MadHopper is operated by Alisa Halamai, Individual Entrepreneur, Yunatska Street 10, 03066 Kyiv, Ukraine. You can contact us at privacy@madhopper.app.

The service

MadHopper collects your travel information into one timeline and map: it reads booking confirmations you forward, imports calendars you subscribe to, saves places you share from other apps, and tracks days of stay against visas you record.

MadHopper is free to start, and its core features stay free. Some optional features are part of a paid plan — MadHopper Pro — and we also sell one-off import packs; the prices are on our Pricing page and in the section below. We do not show advertising; the Privacy Policy sets out exactly what data we process and why.

It runs in a current web browser and needs an internet connection. Your data is stored on our servers so it is available on any device you sign in from.

The agreement runs for as long as you keep your account, and either of us can end it as described below.

Subscriptions and payments

MadHopper Pro is an optional subscription. It costs USD 7.99 per month or USD 49.99 per year. We also sell one-off import packs: 50 imports for USD 2.99 and 150 imports for USD 6.99. Prices are shown to you before you pay; the currency you are charged in and any tax (such as VAT) are set by the payment provider at checkout.

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current period, and you keep Pro until then. Import packs are a one-time purchase and do not renew. If we change a price, the new price applies from your next renewal at the earliest, and we will tell you in advance so you can cancel first.

On the web, payments are handled by Creem, our merchant of record, which collects payment and remits applicable taxes (such as VAT). In the mobile apps, payments and subscription management are handled by Apple’s App Store or Google Play under their terms; manage or cancel there.

Your 14-day right of withdrawal works as follows. For a Pro subscription, you ask us to start providing the service immediately; if you withdraw within 14 days, we refund you minus a proportionate amount for the part of the period already provided (Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 14(3)). For import packs — one-off digital content delivered immediately — you consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is lost once the pack is credited (Art. 16(m)). None of this affects your statutory rights if what we supplied is faulty or not as described. Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases follow Apple’s and Google’s processes; for web purchases, contact us at privacy@madhopper.app.

Your account

You must be at least 16 to use MadHopper.

Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for what happens through your account, unless it happens because of something we did wrong.

Use the service lawfully. Do not try to break into it, overload it, or use it to store other people’s data without a reason to.

Accuracy — please verify

MadHopper reads documents automatically and can misread them. Times, dates, places, visa validity and days-of-stay counts are aids to planning, not authoritative records.

Always check the original confirmation before you travel, and verify visa and entry requirements with the issuing authority or official government source. Do not rely on MadHopper for immigration compliance — a wrong number here has consequences we cannot undo for you.

Every automatically read item is shown to you for confirmation before it is used, precisely so that mistakes are caught by a person.

What we owe you

We will provide the service with reasonable care and keep it working as described here and in the app, including supplying the updates needed to keep it functioning and secure.

If the service does not work as described, tell us and we will fix it. Your statutory rights as a consumer — including the right to a service that conforms to what was promised — apply in full, and nothing in these terms reduces them.

Feedback you send us

If you send a suggestion or a bug report, you allow us to use it to improve the app — including building what you suggested — without owing you payment or credit.

Please do not include anything confidential, and check any screenshot before attaching it: our administrators will be able to read the message and see the image.

Third-party services

MadHopper connects to services we do not control — Google, Strava, calendar providers, and the platforms whose links you share. Their own terms govern your use of them, and we are not responsible for their availability or content.

Availability

We aim to keep MadHopper available, but it may be interrupted for maintenance, or by problems at the providers we depend on. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We keep backups, but please keep your original confirmations — they are the source of truth, not our copy of them.

Our liability

We are liable to you for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, and for death or personal injury caused by us. We do not limit any of that, and could not do so lawfully.

For ordinary negligence we are liable where we break an obligation essential to this agreement, and then for the damage typically foreseeable for a service of this kind. Beyond that we are not liable — in particular for losses arising because you relied on parsed information without checking the original, which is why the section above asks you to check it.

Your mandatory rights under consumer and product liability law are unaffected by anything in this section.

Your right to cancel

As a consumer you may withdraw from this agreement within 14 days of creating your account, without giving a reason.

To withdraw, tell us in a clear statement — an email to privacy@madhopper.app saying you are withdrawing is enough. You may use the model withdrawal form set out in Annex I(B) of Directive 2011/83/EU, but you do not have to.

For the free service, withdrawal means your account and data are deleted; there is nothing to refund. If you have bought MadHopper Pro or an import pack, how the right of withdrawal and refunds work for that digital content is set out in “Subscriptions and payments” above. You can also simply delete your account at any time, before or after those 14 days, which has the same practical effect.

Ending your use

You can stop at any time and delete your account in Settings → Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent; see the Privacy Policy for exactly what is removed.

Before you go, you can ask us for a copy of your data in a machine-readable format — an email to privacy@madhopper.app is enough, and it is free of charge.

We may suspend or close an account that is being used unlawfully or in a way that damages the service or other users. Unless the law prevents us, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms where there is a valid reason — a change in the service, in the providers we use, or in the law that applies to us.

We will give you at least 30 days’ notice in the app before a change takes effect. If you do not accept it, you may delete your account before that date, and the change will not apply to you.

Law and where disputes go

If you are a consumer resident in the EU or the UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. We may bring proceedings against you only there.

We do not require arbitration and we do not ask you to waive any collective remedy. We are not currently committed to any out-of-court dispute resolution body; if that changes we will say so here.
